If you are an active cryptocurrency user and travel a lot, we have great news for you. Travala.com, a crypto-friendly travel booking service, has recently joined hands with Expedia, the online hotel booking giant. Now you book accommodations or hotels offered by Expedia through Travala.com and pay via your favorite cryptocurrency, as detailed through Cryptonews.

Expedia Partner Solutions (EPS) is offering an API that Travala.com will use for online bookings so that the users of the site can pay via cryptocurrencies. This is great news for people who buy and sell cryptocurrency and engage in trading crypto as their assets now have more intrinsic value. Expedia disabled the option of Bitcoin payment from its website back in mid-2018 which was introduced as part of a partnership with Coinbase. Now, users can enjoy over 700,000 Expedia Group hotels, and make the payment in more than 30 cryptocurrencies. More people may now buy Bitcoin or buy Ethereum along with many others as they have greater use.

Alfonso Paredes, who is the Senior Vice President of Expedia Group, commented in a recent interview on their partnership with Travala.com, stating it as great importance for the company. Paredes sees value and is passionate in providing more payment options for the convenience of its customers and to keep up as the industry evolves.

CEO and co-founder of Travala.com, Juan Otero, states their usage data shows the want for traveling is returning. There is an 81% increase in bookings for rooms while the website’s traffic has gone up by 50%.
